Every year, South Metro Vineyard Church and La Viña, the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking congregation that meets in the same building hold a joint Good Friday Service with interactive stations based on the Seven Last Words of Christ. In 2019, we explored how visual art can connect us to God and one another by making art together as a community. The workshops on this page are part of a project funded by the Louisville Institute to study “Community Art as Reconciliation” with the goal of exploring how art-making can be a catalyst for reconciliation across linguistic divides.
